Printed in 1871 by the American Bank Note Company of New York on stout white wove paper with horizontal mesh, (also occurs on a very thin, crisp, yellowish Pelure paper), almost colorless gum. Excellent color and appearance, very well centered for this issue. Approximately 50% of original gum disturbed by previous hinging.
Catalogue values in the 2023 edition of the Unitrade Specialized Catalogue of Canadian Stamps are for examples with no gum. A premium of 100% is indicated for stamps with original gum. Few shortish perfs here and there mentioned for the record. My feedback speaks for itself.
